Calthorpe Park School Partnership

The aims of U3A are

  • To encourage and enable older people no longer in full time paid employment to help each other to share knowledge, skills, interests and experience.
  • To demonstrate the benefits and enjoyment to be gained and the new horizons to be discovered in learning throughout life.
  • To celebrate the capabilities and potential of older people and their value to society.
  • To make U3As accessible to all older people.
  • To encourage the establishment of U3As in every part of the country where conditions are suitable and to support and collaborate with them.

As part of the U3A 25th Anniversary celebrations in 2007 the Committee decided that the partnership with Calthorpe Park School, led by Ian Stephenson, would be our anniversary event.  It fulfils a number of the above aims and potentially brings members into contact with the younger people of Fleet.

The Family History on the Internet Group is already running and other groups will be using the Calthorpe Park computing facilities from Autumn 2008. However, we still need members to start other groups. For further information or an offer to run a group please contact or .
