Calthorpe Park School Partnership

The U3A Third Age Trust has been celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.  The aims of U3A are

  • To encourage and enable older people no longer in full time paid employment to help each other to share knowledge, skills, interests and experience.
  • To demonstrate the benefits and enjoyment to be gained and the new horizons to be discovered in learning throughout life.
  • To celebrate the capabilities and potential of older people and their value to society.
  • To make U3As accessible to all older people.
  • To encourage the establishment of U3As in every part of the country where conditions are suitable and to support and collaborate with them.

As part of the celebration the Committee have decided that the partnership with Calthorpe Park School, led by Ian Stephenson, would be our anniversary event.  It fulfils a number of the above aims and potentially brings members into contact with the younger people of Fleet.

The Family History on the Internet Group will be running in the New Year and Anthony Trice has contacted all those who have expressed an interest. A potential Group Leader has been found for the Ebay group.  However, we need Group Leaders for other groups and contact will be made in the near future with those who expressed an interest in helping with the Partnership groups.  For further information or an offer to run one of the groups please contact or .
